Bahia’s rising star Theuzinho brought arrocha to the Dodô circuit with the “Siri com Tody” group at the official opening of Salvador Carnival 2026.
For the first time in his career, Bahian singer Theuzinho took command of an electric trio on the Dodô circuit (Barra/Ondina) this Thursday (12), during the first official day of Salvador Carnival. With the “Siri com Tody” group, the young artist brought arrocha to revelers already filling Oceânica Avenue.
The “Siri com Tody” group was the third to parade at the festival’s opening. The lineup also featured performances by other renowned artists, including Bell Marques, Tony Salles, Leo Santana, Parangolé with Lincoln Sena, and Solange Almeida.
Recognition and expectation
The singer’s talent had already been gaining recognition. In 2025, he was awarded breakthrough artist of Bahia at the Prêmio Personalidades, building anticipation for his debut at one of the country’s most famous carnivals.
His debut at Salvador Carnival 2026 marks a historic moment in Theuzinho’s journey, solidifying his presence in the Bahian and national music scene.
