The pagode singer had the Rio Praia Skybox crowd singing along on Carnival Saturday while samba schools paraded at Marquês de Sapucaí.
On the night of February 14, Thiago Martins turned the Rio Praia Skybox stage into a showcase of romantic pagode and contemporary samba. The performance took place during Rio de Janeiro’s samba school parades, between sectors 8 and 10 at Sapucaí, facing the second battery recess.
Hits like “Sou o Cara Pra Você”, “Mais e Mais”, and “Será Que Vai Rolar” echoed through the avenue, with the audience singing every chorus. The artist kept close contact with attendees and maintained the dance floor’s energy from start to finish.
Samba beyond the skybox
The Rio Praia Skybox musical program during Carnival 2026 also featured Samba da Alvorada at Quadra do Cardosão. The initiative is part of the Rodas de Samba project and expanded the revelers’ experience at the venue.
VIP guests included TV host Cariúcha, actress Nicole Orsini, and Gabriel Moura. They all watched the parades and musical performance from one of Sapucaí’s most privileged spots.
