Paracuru Folia 2026 witnessed one of its most remarkable moments early Sunday morning (16th). Over 70,000 people packed the specially built arena to watch Brazilian singer Wesley Safadão, who took the stage at 1:30 AM and delivered a historic performance on Ceará’s coastline.
With a setlist packed with hits and intense crowd interaction, the artist transformed the venue into a genuine spectacle of lights, sound, and emotion. The massive arena, designed to host major national attractions, ensured comfort, safety, and organization for carnival-goers.
Paracuru Carnival’s new era
This year’s edition marks a strategic shift for the city. The main programming moved from the central square to a purpose-built arena in a municipal development area, creating a true “scenographic city” dedicated to carnival celebrations.
During daytime, the traditional venue hosts the Cultural Carnival, featuring activities for children and families. At night, major attractions concentrate at the new structure, resulting in a more organized and zoned event.
Paracuru is living a new moment. We’re investing in infrastructure, organization, and major events to definitively put our city on the national tourism map. Carnival is just the beginning of a larger project for development, job creation, and strengthening our cultural identity Gabi do Aquino, Paracuru mayor
Wesley Safadão’s show entered history as a symbol of this new phase for Paracuru Carnival, establishing the municipality as a major event destination in Brazil’s Northeast.
