Cine Azul screens Super Mario Galaxy: The Movie this Saturday, with adapted sessions at every Cinesystem location for autistic audiences and others with sensory needs.
Cine Azul returns to Cinesystem this Saturday, April 11, with screenings designed for people on the autism spectrum, people with other sensory sensitivities, and people with disabilities. The circuit, the fifth largest exhibitor in Brazil, is hosting the initiative across all of its locations, with showtimes varying by city.
This edition features Super Mario Galaxy: The Movie as the title selected for the adapted screenings. In the animated film, Mario and Luigi return after saving the Mushroom Kingdom and join Princess Peach in a new mission that expands the franchise’s universe with striking visuals and new characters.
Cine Azul expands cinema access
Created in 2019, Cine Azul began in six locations. It now reaches all 28 Cinesystem cinemas in Brazil. During Autism Awareness Month, the project gains added relevance by reinforcing the role of inclusive cultural access inside mainstream movie theaters.
The screenings are tailored to offer a more comfortable environment. Sound volume is lowered, ambient lights remain partially on, and audiences are free to move during the film. As a result, the experience becomes more accessible for viewers who may face barriers in traditional screenings.
Cine Azul ticket policy
Tickets follow the legal conditions established for people with disabilities and their companions. However, times and prices depend on each location. For that reason, moviegoers should check details directly on the exhibitor’s website or at multiplex box offices.
