Preview screenings run January 9-10. Nationwide release hits Brazilian cinemas on January 15.
What was extraordinary about this experience was creating Shakespeare’s family. These kids were so engaged and receptive; it felt like we truly were a family.

Based on Maggie O’Farrell’s award-winning book, it won Toronto’s Audience Award. It closed Rio Festival 2025 and eyes awards season.
Plot and Stellar Team
Oscar winners Steven Spielberg and Sam Mendes produce. O’Farrell and Zhao wrote the script. Paul Mescal from “Gladiator II” co-stars.
The story tracks Agnes (Buckley) grieving son Hamnet, delving into loss and “Hamlet’s” origins. Heartfelt, it arrives accessible via Universal Pictures.
