The Vecindad Comes to Life
Those who haven’t yet experienced Chaves – A Exposição now have another chance. Via Parque Shopping, located in the Barra da Tijuca neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, has extended the immersive exhibition through March 2026 following overwhelming demand — the show has already welcomed more than 100,000 visitors.
Spread across more than 1,000 square meters, the exhibition recreates some of the most beloved settings from the classic Mexican series: the iconic Vecindad, Professor Girafales’ classroom, and the homes of Don Ramón and the Witch of 71. The show marks the 40th anniversary of the series’ debut in Brazil.
Beyond the life-size sets, visitors discover original costumes, props, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content. A highlight is the section featuring rare items from the personal collection of Roberto Gómez Bolaños — the creator and performer behind Chavo — offering an intimate look at his life and his enduring bond with Brazil.
