Drummer Daniel Argolo launches a new concert series at Vale da Música with Herton Tancredi and Jean da Rosa celebrating Brazilian jazz.
This Thursday (26), the Vale da Música’s Floating Stage hosts the first edition of Daniel Argolo Convida, a new project that turns the venue into a meeting point for instrumental jazz lovers. The performance starts at 12:40 p.m., featuring bassist Herton Tancredi, with over two decades in the Brazilian scene, and keyboardist Jean da Rosa.
Jazz, improvisation, and live connection
According to Argolo, each edition of the series will have its own identity through guest artists, while keeping jazz and improvisation at its core. “Debuting this series on the Floating Stage is very special. This place stands out as one of the biggest supporters of local music,” he said.
Project manager Alana Alboitt highlights that Vale da Música’s mission is to strengthen local culture: “Hosting projects like this proves our commitment to promoting both local and national artists, creating unique experiences for the audience.”
The debut program includes timeless jazz standards, reimagined versions, and spontaneous improvisation moments — the pure heartbeat of the genre.
