Museus Virtuais honors Paul Cézanne’s legacy in free session

Museus Virtuais project invites art lovers to explore Paul Cézanne’s life and work in a free session at Paradigma Cine Arte.

The Museus Virtuais 2026 project returns with a session dedicated to Paul Cézanne, one of the most influential figures in modern painting. The third event of the season takes place on April 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Paradigma Cine Arte, located in the Corporate Park, Florianópolis.

Under the theme “The Art of Paul Cézanne,” this virtual guided tour explores key moments in the French painter’s career, from his ties to Impressionism to the development of his distinctive method focused on form, color, and perception.

Highlights include his numerous depictions of the Mont Sainte-Victoire, where Cézanne refined his understanding of light and structure. His influence on modern masters such as Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse is also explored, confirming his role as the “father of modern art.”

The presentation also takes viewers through locations central to Cézanne’s life — his studio and major art museums — emphasizing his lasting impact on Western art history.

The event is free and open to the public. Tickets will be distributed at Paradigma Cine Arte’s box office from 6:30 p.m., on a first-come, first-served basis. The Museus Virtuais project is organized by the Instituto Maratona Cultural, supported by Corporate Park and IBAGY, and sponsored by the City of Florianópolis through its Municipal Cultural Incentive Law.
