The Jogo Aberto open call seeks artistic, educational, and gastronomic projects tied to football for the Museum’s 2026–2028 lineup. Free applications through April 29.
São Paulo’s Museu do Futebol (Football Museum) has launched Jogo Aberto — Portuguese for “Open Game” — a public call to credential artistic, educational, celebratory, and recreational projects that engage with football as a cultural force. Selected initiatives may be contracted to join the Museum’s cultural programming from 2026 through 2028, reinforcing the sport as an artistic, social, and educational medium.
Three categories open for submissions
The call covers three distinct tracks. Cultural Projects welcome proposals in Literature, Theatre, Music, Performance, Dance, and hybrid forms. The Creative Fair track is open to vendors of original football-themed products. The Gastronomy category invites food and beverage offerings with a football-inspired identity.
Credentialed proposals may be featured at events such as the Festival Cultura Futebol Clube, Arquibancada Nerd, and other Museum programming throughout the year.

Who can apply
Applications are free and must be submitted online between February 25 and April 29. Eligible applicants include individuals aged 18 and over, as well as legal entities and cooperatives based in the state of São Paulo, provided they can document at least three prior activities in the field. Each applicant may submit only one project.
Proposals must account for all associated costs, including artistic fees, production, transport, food, equipment rental, set design, costumes, and any other infrastructure required for technical review.
Evaluation criteria and timeline
A specialized committee will assess submissions based on cultural relevance, proven experience, technical feasibility, diversity — including ethnic background, gender, and disability inclusion — CNAE compatibility, and documentation quality.
Credentialed projects will enter a roster valid for up to 24 months and may be called upon according to the Museum’s schedule and interests. The list of registered projects will be published from May 4, with the final list of credentialed projects announced by June 30.
Located inside the iconic Pacaembu Stadium, the Museu do Futebol operates under the São Paulo State Secretariat of Culture, Creative Economy and Creative Industries. With Jogo Aberto, the institution doubles down on its mission to democratize cultural access, support independent creators, and position football as an interdisciplinary language for memory, diversity, inclusion, and citizenship.
