After moving audiences in 2025, the musical tribute to the maestro begins its new tour across eight Brazilian capitals, debuting in Fortaleza.
The ‘Tom Jobim Musical’ starts a new journey in 2026, touring eight capitals between February and June with support from Mapfre. The new season opens in Fortaleza at Teatro São Luiz, from February 27 to March 1.
Written by Nelson Motta and Pedro Brício, and directed by João Fonseca — known for musicals about Tim Maia, Cazuza, and Cássia Eller — the production features 27 actors and 13 live musicians. Elton Towersey plays Tom Jobim, while Otávio Müller portrays Vinicius de Moraes.
The storyline traces Jobim’s path from 1950s Ipanema to his international acclaim, featuring timeless songs such as “Garota de Ipanema,” “Corcovado,” and “Águas de Março.”
“Supporting this show means celebrating a genius’s legacy and bringing high-quality culture to new cities,” says Tatiana Cerezer, from Mapfre.
For the insurer, this partnership reinforces its commitment to Brazilian culture. Members of the Club Mapfre program get 25% off tickets (up to four per CPF). All sessions include audiodescription and sign language interpretation.
