The Pet Adoption Fair at Shopping Metropolitano Barra returns this Saturday with a meaningful mission: connecting rescued animals with responsible owners. Held every two months, the event is organized in partnership with the ONG Adoção Carioca and PetFun.
The fair takes place on the first floor of the mall, between the PetFun and Polishop stores, from 2 PM to 6 PM. Admission is free and open to everyone.

Beyond introducing available animals, the fair guides visitors through the responsible adoption process. This includes screening prospective owners and providing guidance on pet care, health, and adjustment to a new home.
The initiative turns the shopping center into a meeting point between solidarity and community life — and still offers a practical incentive for those ready to take the leap.
A discount for new pet owners
Anyone who adopts a dog or cat during the event receives a 20% discount at PetFun. The benefit is valid for up to 30 days after adoption — plenty of time to stock up on everything a new pet needs.
