Denim gets a new life in Cantão’s collab with Chica and Isabela Capeto, featuring unique embroidery, emotional art, and limited editions.
The meeting of creativity, affection, and craftsmanship marks the first collaboration between Cantão and the mother-daughter duo Chica and Isabela Capeto. With denim at the center, the collection brings eight limited-edition pieces recreated from existing models in the brand’s archive.
The creations – including shorts, pants, a chemise, top, skirt, shirt, and cropped jacket – feature exclusive embroidery, painting, and illustrations, highlighting upcycling and handcrafted work. Each detail reflects the duo’s artistic identity, aligned with Cantão’s vibrant spirit.
“This collaboration bridges generations while connecting Cantão’s archive to Isabela and Chica’s identity, celebrating handmade work,” says product director Renata Simon.
A mini documentary released on the brand’s social media captures the emotional connection behind the project. Chica reflects on denim’s timeless meaning: “It’s a piece that lasts and passes through generations.” Isabela highlights the value of craftsmanship: “When you embroider and customize, the piece becomes more beautiful and meaningful.”
The Cantão x Chica & Isabela Capeto collection is now available online and at the Leblon store, celebrating denim as both art and memory.
