Aurora Winery celebrates 95 years with the limited Aurora 95 Years – Historic Blend, a tribute to its winemaking legacy in Serra Gaúcha.
To celebrate its 95th anniversary, Cooperativa Vinícola Aurora has released a special-edition wine: Aurora 95 Years – Historic Blend. The cuvée combines 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, and 17% Tannat from different vintages, echoing the richness of the region’s diverse soils and microclimates.
Aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels and with 13% alcohol content, the wine reveals aromas of dark fruits, spices, chocolate, and menthol. On the palate, it offers balance, smooth tannins, and a long finish with hints of ripe berries and tobacco.
“Aurora 95 Years embodies, in each bottle, the strength of our cooperative families and our enduring pursuit of quality,” says president Renê Tonello.
Head winemaker Nauro José Morbini notes that the blend reflects exceptional harvests and honors nearly a century of Aurora’s dedication. He sees the wine as a tribute to growers and all who help craft Aurora’s success.
Only 40,000 numbered bottles were produced, priced at R$129.90, available online and at Aurora’s main store in Bento Gonçalves. A QR Code on the back label, powered by Augmented Reality, tells the winery’s story since 1931.
Elegant and versatile, Aurora 95 Years pairs beautifully with grilled meats, poultry, rich pasta dishes, and mature cheeses.
