Vale Europeu kicks off semester with cultural fests

Vale Europeu (SC) sets Festa Pomerana, Degusta Cervejas do Brasil and Festitália with German, Italian food and national beers. Vale Europeu starts the year with cultural events in the first semester. The area, covering Blumenau and Pomerode, shines in gastronomy from immigrants. With nine national holidays on weekdays in 2026, Brazilians eye nearby spots. Programs draw crowds for quality and range. They honor German, Italian roots and beer culture. Travelers thus taste authentic heritage and flavors.

Pomerana Fest debuts sausage popcorn

The 41st Festa Pomerana runs January 14-25 in Pomerode. It celebrates German immigrants through culture and food. Star is Blumenau sausage popcorn, this year’s new hit. Casa da Linguiça Blumenau features Olho Embutidos products. Blumenau sausage holds INPI Geographical Indication since 2024. Made in 16 Santa Catarina towns, it uses specific cuts and slow smoking.

Degusta Cervejas do Brasil in March

From March 4-7, Blumenau becomes Brazil’s beer capital. Degusta Cervejas do Brasil gathers over 200 national brands. More than 900 labels offer free tasting with one ticket. The event ties into the Brazilian Beer Festival. It adds brewery tours and seminars. Beer lovers sample the nation’s brewing variety.

Festitália honors Italians in June

The 31st Festitália takes place June 11-21 in Blumenau. It pays tribute to Italian settlers with shows and dishes. Features pastas, pizzas, risottos and polenta options. The menu boasts over 100 choices, like x-polenta. Italian regional cuisine stands out. Vale Europeu thus highlights its multicultural legacy.
