Serum Blood Bank hosts Estácio de Sá percussion

The GSH Serum Blood Bank welcomes the Estácio de Sá percussion group this Saturday in celebration of the blood donor month.

Continuing its special program for the blood donor month, the GSH Serum Blood Bank, at its downtown unit, will host the Estácio de Sá percussion group this Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The performance will feature the participation of Mestre Chuvisco. The presentation aims to energize donors with samba and joy, celebrating the solidarity of those who help save lives through donation.

November also marks the National Blood Donor Day, on the 25th. During this period, GSH Serum Blood Bank promotes the campaign “Live Life, Transforming Solidarity into Hope”.

The campaign honors regular donors. At the same time, it encourages new people to join this act of love and citizenship.

This time of year is also considered critical for blood stocks. Holidays, vacations, and long weekends significantly reduce donations.

This situation directly affects hospital care. Some blood components, such as platelets, last an average of only five days.

Until November 30, or while supplies last, donors who visit the Centro and Barra units will find a special themed decoration.

They will also receive a small gift related to the campaign. The initiative reinforces the importance of continuous donation to ensure safe blood supplies.
