More than 20,000 filled Tramandaí’s waterfront as O Grande Encontro – Música dos Gaúchos set an all-time attendance record to open the 2026 season.Held last Saturday (24) on Avenida Beira-Mar, the free concert delivered the biggest crowd since the project began in 2013. The shoreline turned into an open-air stage, with the ocean as the backdrop and Rio Grande do Sul’s regional music taking the spotlight. The landmark turnout confirms the project’s continued rise. Until 2024, the event ran exclusively in Porto Alegre; starting last year, it began traveling across the state’s interior, expanding its reach and strengthening its role in today’s Gaúcho music scene.Created by Ayrton Patineti dos Anjos, O Grande Encontro – Música dos Gaúchos brings generations together, pairing well-known artists with key voices from the region’s songbook. Across its history, the project has reached 20 performances in Rio Grande do Sul, consistently drawing strong public engagement and cultural attention.
13 artists, one collective show
For the 2026 season opener, Tramandaí audiences watched a special program featuring 13 acts in a collective format. The setlist leaned into identity and memory, mixing classics, celebrated collaborations, and first-time onstage meetings. The lineup included César Oliveira e Rogério Melo, Neto Fagundes, Joca Martins, Shana Müller, Ernesto Fagundes, Daniel Torres, Loma Pereira, Mauro Moraes, Érlon Péricles, Rock de Galpão, Pirisca Grecco, Luiza Barbosa, and Ricardo Bergha.
Accessibility with Libras interpretation
Beyond the artistic impact, the event highlighted an inclusive approach. Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) interpretation was provided throughout the performance, widening access and reinforcing the project’s social commitment.
