Carol Roberto makes history as Tina Turner at 20

At just 20, Carol Roberto debuts in “Tina – The Musical” at Teatro Santander, becoming the youngest actress ever to play Tina Turner on stage.Brazilian artist Carol Roberto takes a major leap in her career as she steps into the role of Tina Turner in “Tina – The Tina Turner Musical,” premiering February 26 at Teatro Santander in São Paulo. Sharing the role with Analu Pimenta, she now holds the title of the youngest performer in the world to bring the rock legend to life on stage.

Known for her performances in musicals like “Hairspray,” “Marrom – The Alcione Musical,” “Dreamgirls,” and “Mean Girls,” Carol says she aims to embody Tina’s legacy of resilience. “I hope many women can see themselves in this strength and find courage to change their own stories,” she shares.

A rising star

Despite her age, Carol’s résumé is impressive. She played Milena in “Monica Teen: Reflections of Fear,” from Mauricio de Sousa, and gained national attention as a semifinalist on The Voice Kids Brazil (2019). In 2024, she starred in Globo’s special “Christmas Symphony” and shone in Disney’s first Christmas special in Curitiba (2025).Her voice acting credits include young Nala in “The Lion King” (live-action), X-23 in “Deadpool,” Princess Ellian in “Enchanted,” Clarisse La Rue in “Percy Jackson,” and Julieta in Netflix’s “Menino Maluquinho.”
