Davi Quaresma Debuts on Som Livre with “Na Régua”

Recorded intimately in a Rio barbershop, “Na Régua – Vol. 01” drops Feb. 20 featuring Gaab on a brand-new track marking a bold new chapter.

A Career Turning Point, Set in a Barbershop

Brazilian pagode artist Davi Quaresma officially debuts on Som Livre — one of Brazil’s most prestigious record labels — with the release of “Na Régua – Vol. 01”, available on streaming platforms starting February 20. The project marks a defining moment in his career, arriving with a mature sound and a clear artistic identity. The concept was born in an unexpected setting: a traditional barbershop in Rio de Janeiro’s Zona Norte. The urban, intimate environment shapes the project’s entire aesthetic, bridging everyday street life with contemporary pagode in a way that feels authentic and grounded.

“For me, this project represents a turning point in my career. Everything I’ve lived through until now was about building an identity — and now I know who I am as an artist. Na Régua is just the tip of the iceberg. It’s a real beginning, my first live project with guest features. It truly represents my show and this new chapter of a more prepared Davi.” — Davi Quaresma

Four Tracks, One Debut Song, and Gaab

“Na Régua – Vol. 01” features four tracks in total. The centerpiece is “Acostumou Errado”, a brand-new song chosen as the project’s lead single, recorded with special guest Gaab. The remaining tracks are reimagined covers, reinterpreted with fresh sonic weight and Davi’s distinctive vocal presence. For Gaab, the recording session was a powerful experience that deepened his admiration for his fellow artist.

“I’ve always seen Davi as someone who puts music first. During the recording session, I became an even bigger fan — of his voice, his personality, his humility. I’m deeply grateful to be part of this project and I want it to reach as many people as possible, because they need to know who Davi Quaresma is — this talent, this Brazilian powerhouse.” — Gaab
