After Carnival, Rio’s iconic Sugarloaf Cable Car Park hosts Fernanda Abreu and duo From House to Disco for a special listening session of a Brazilian pop landmark.
On February 22, 2026 (Sunday), Parque Bondinho Pão de Açúcar® and Universal Music Brasil come together to celebrate the 30th anniversary of “Da Lata”, the groundbreaking album by Brazilian singer, songwriter and pop icon Fernanda Abreu. Released in 1995, the record was named Best Latin Pop Album of the Year by Billboard magazine in the United States.
An Unmissable Evening at Jardim dos Discos
Starting at 5:30 PM, the all-female DJ duo From House to Disco will take over the Jardim dos Discos stage for a curated listening experience, with Fernanda Abreu herself in attendance. The set features the original album tracks alongside the songs that inspired its creation — a full sonic journey through one of Brazil’s most celebrated records.
“Garota Sangue Bom” Finally Gets Its First Official Remix
The event is the latest chapter in the “Da Lata – 30 Anos” project, which also includes a documentary film, vinyl reissue, and a commemorative book. In November 2025, Fernanda Abreu and From House to Disco released “Garota Sangue Bom – Remix” on streaming platforms — marking the very first official remix of the track in its entire history. A pioneer in blending samba, funk, and electronic music, the song had gone without a remix since 1997.
“This late afternoon at Bondinho is going to be very special. We’re going to get everyone dancing at this iconic place. The ‘Da Lata 30 Anos’ project gave us this new gem: the remix of ‘Garota Sangue Bom’, which had no remixed version since 1997. Since it’s a song that speaks about women, I wanted to invite the talented DJ producers of From House to Disco. I loved the partnership! Thank you, my friend DJ Meme, for the perfect suggestion. The result is incredible!” — Fernanda Abreu
A Squad of Powerful Women in Action
The duo From House to Disco responded to the collaboration with genuine excitement. At the time of the single’s release, they shared:
“We feel honored. Fernanda is a powerhouse! She radiates an energy that makes you feel nothing is impossible just by being near her. This is the strength of a women pool: one lends to the other. They add up, and before you know it, there’s a true squad of incredible women in action. That unity reminds us how powerful we are together.” — From House to Disco
Sugarloaf as a Stage for Rio’s Culture
Gustavo Maciel, General Manager of Parque Bondinho Pão de Açúcar®, expressed his pride in hosting the event:
“Welcoming Fernanda Abreu, an artist so deeply connected to Rio, alongside the duo From House to Disco, is a huge joy for us at Parque Bondinho. ‘Da Lata’ is a landmark album, and the park — also a space dedicated to promoting music and culture — is proud to celebrate in style the legacy of both the record and Fernanda Abreu.” — Gustavo Maciel, General Manager, Parque Bondinho Pão de Açúcar®
