Foo Fighters confirmed as Rock in Rio headliners for September 4, in their only Brazil show. Festival unveils creative backstage and major updates.
In an unprecedented experience, Rock in Rio presented its “Dream Factory” concept through a musical performance revealing the festival’s backstage creation. The event brought together press and guests for a show blending music, dance, orchestra, and choreography, honoring the 32,000 people who help build the festival each edition.
Foo Fighters: the rock highlight
The highlight of the press conference was the confirmation of Foo Fighters as the main headliners of the World Stage on September 4, in an exclusive performance for Brazilian fans, marking the festival’s second official Rock Day.
New experiences and updated map
The new Rock City 2026 map introduced several updates across areas. The New Dance Order stage will showcase a new design and feature Fatboy Slim as headliner on September 7. The Gourmet Square will have culinary curation by chef Pedro Siqueira, one of the world’s top 100 pizzaiolos, bringing dishes from his restaurant Sìsì.
The updated layout also teases a brand-new show area and another themed space, to be revealed soon, strengthening the festival’s mission to create experiences that go beyond music.
