On the International Guitar Night stage, Lucas Imbiriba tours the US with rock, flamenco and film themes across 36 shows through March. In 2026, Brazilian guitarist Lucas Imbiriba joins one of the most respected touring projects in instrumental music. International Guitar Night celebrates its 26th edition with what organizers describe as the most diverse lineup in the event’s history, bringing four distinct musical worlds into the same show.
International Guitar Night: 26th edition, 36 dates
The tour features Lucas Imbiriba (Brazil), Alexander Misko (Russia), Thu Le (Vietnam) and Taimane (Hawaii), spanning 36 performances in major US theaters. It began in January and runs through March. The structure highlights both individuality and collaboration. Each artist opens with a solo set. Then the night shifts into live pairings and four-player moments, designed to feel different from one stop to the next.
“The tour’s biggest difference is the mix: four solo artists, very different styles, meeting onstage to create something new in real time.”
Lucas Imbiriba blends rock, flamenco and cinema
Known for high-energy reinterpretations of rock staples and film music, Imbiriba performs his own takes on “Bohemian Rhapsody” (Queen), “Sultans of Swing” (Dire Straits), “Hotel California” (Eagles) and “Another Brick in the Wall” (Pink Floyd). His set also includes “Canción del Mariachi” from the film “Desperado,” plus a widely shared version of “La Malagueña,” by Ernesto Lecuona. He points to classical technique and Latin American rhythms as key ingredients, with online audiences helping propel solo guitar to broader stages.Another twist comes from the lineup itself. Taimane plays ukulele, adding unexpected color and contrast alongside guitars and acoustic textures. As a result, the show can shift in mood and sound night after night.
From the Amazon region to global venues
Born in Belém, Imbiriba began studying at age 10 at the Carlos Gomes Conservatory. He later attended the Escola Superior de Música da Catalunha in Spain and completed a master’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg in Germany. This run is his first US tour and marks a milestone after 27 years devoted to music. In 2023, he also joined Yusuf/Cat Stevens’ band for the release of the album “King of a Land,” including an appearance at the Glastonbury Festival. For the guitarist, music works as a borderless language. He argues that mixing styles helps connect generations and cultures — and that the digital era accelerated these links, bringing guitar instrumentals to bigger audiences.
