A 40-year celebration in downtown Rio
Following a hugely successful previous run, Milton Guedes returns to the stage of Teatro Rival Petrobras in downtown Rio de Janeiro with his show “Milton Guedes Para Dançar” — which translates roughly as “Milton Guedes: Made to Dance.” The night promises to turn the historic theatre into a full-on dance floor, with a setlist built from start to finish to move the crowd.
The performance takes place on Friday, March 6, at 7:30 PM. Celebrating more than 40 years in the music industry, the singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist revisits hits that have defined different generations of Brazilian pop.
Original hits and signature mashups
The setlist features original classics like “Sonho de Uma Noite de Verão” (“Dream of a Summer Night”), a staple on Brazilian dance floors since the 1990s, and “Jeito Sexy”, the hit immortalized by Fat Family that continues to win over new audiences.
Alongside his originals, Milton showcases the mashups that have become his creative trademark — bold blends of Brazilian and international hits. Among the combinations in store: Dua Lipa & Rita Lee, Bruno Mars & Lulu Santos, and Coldplay & Cazuza.
New arrangements and self-produced electronics
Backed by his full band, Milton performs brand-new arrangements alongside electronic programming he produced himself. It’s a testament to his versatility and his enduring connection with diverse styles across decades of pop music.
