Brazilian composer and producer Plínio Profeta — one of the most prominent names in film and television music in Brazil — turns the stage of Manouche – Casa Camolese, in the Jardim Botânico neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, into a live cinema experience. The show “Trilhas Sonoras ao Vivo” (Live Soundtracks) takes place on Friday, March 13, 2026, starting at 9 PM, with doors opening at 8 PM.
A career built on screen
With credits on more than 60 feature films, Plínio has composed scores for acclaimed titles such as “O Palhaço”, “Nosso Sonho”, “Divinas Divas”, “Medida Provisória”, “A Viagem de Pedro”, and “Nada a Fazer”. On the television side, his work spans series including “Sessão de Terapia” (season 6), “Beleza Fatal”, and “Me Chama de Bruna”.
A voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (the Oscars) and the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs and Latin GRAMMYs), Plínio has built an internationally recognized career. In 2025, he won the Prêmio Redentor for Best Soundtrack at the Rio Film Festival for the documentary “Apolo”, adding to his two Grand Prix awards at the Brazilian Cinema Prize.
