Samba star sings hits, recalls stories, and duets with grandson Noah in special edition of TV Brasil’s show this Friday (9), at 4 PM.
In the first “sextou” edition of Sem Censura in 2026, Cissa Guimarães welcomes Zeca Pagodinho for a special tribute this Friday (9), at 4 PM, on TV Brasil. The acclaimed samba artist puts on a show as he recalls memorable stories to the sound of his cavaquinho and performs classics from his repertoire.
To confirm the veteran’s most incredible tales, the host invites experienced musician Paulão Sete Cordas, who serves as musical director for the legend’s shows and is his longtime friend. The special also features singer and composer Teresa Cristina and Noah Pagodinho, grandson of the celebrated artist. Journalist Bia Aparecida joins the panel as the day’s commentator.
Moving repertoire
On stage, the star performs hits like “Pisa como eu pisei” and “Deixa a Vida me Levar.” Zeca Pagodinho also duets with his grandson Noah on the songs “Mais Feliz” and “Fé e esperança.” Meanwhile, Teresa Cristina performs “São José de Madureira,” “Quando te vi chorando,” and “Meu Poeta.”
About the show
Sem Censura has been part of the public channel’s programming since 1985, when it premiered on July 1st on the then TVE/RJ, now TV Brasil, hosted by Tetê Muniz. The talk show created by Fernando Barbosa Lima became best known with journalists like Lúcia Leme and Leda Nagle as hosts. Since 2024, the program returned to its original format with Cissa Guimarães at the helm.
The conversation circle welcomes artists and professionals from various fields to discuss current topics of interest to society. The afternoon show features a regular panel of commentators who rotate throughout the week. In 2025, the award-winning TV Brasil production celebrated four decades on air.
Current winner of the APCA Award for best television program, Sem Censura earned recognition twice consecutively, in 2024 and 2025, with the NaTelinha Best of the Year Award in the Best Interview Program category.

Daily content is available in podcast format on Spotify. Sem Censura also has an alternative slot on TV Brasil’s schedule later the same day at 11:30 PM.
