February on HBO Max stacks up a big mix: a headline novela, buzzy scripted series, a returning food rescue reality, new films, kids’ titles, and live sports. The month’s anchor is “Dona Beja,” alongside “Rivalidade Ardente” and chef Érick Jacquin’s latest run of “Pesadelo na Cozinha.”

DONA BEJA (Novela / Max Original) — now available. Inspired by Ana Jacinta de São José, a landmark figure in Minas Gerais history, the story revisits a woman who defied social rules and became a symbol of desire, power, and transgression.
This contemporary reimagining expands the conversation around freedom, female agency, and social inequality. Beja stands at the center of political, emotional, and moral conflicts in a society shaped by rigidity and oppression.

PESADELO NA COZHINA, Season 5 (Reality show) — premieres February 20. Across 12 episodes, French chef Érick Jacquin advises struggling restaurants, expanding this season’s visits to four Brazilian states.
Known for his sharp humor and explosive personality, Jacquin pushes owners toward practical changes. The show also reinforces standards for cleaning, uniforms, workplace conduct, and customer service.
