All seven episodes of the acclaimed docuseries “Tempo de Rádio” are now free to watch on YouTube and the official website.
The audiovisual project celebrates the radio heritage of Minas Gerais, recognizing radio as a cultural treasure in Brazil. Created by Rodrigo Mitre and coordinated by Luciana Salles, the project was made possible through the State Cultural Incentive Law, sponsored by CEMIG and supported by Rádio Itatiaia, Rede Minas, and Rádio Inconfidência.
Featuring testimonials from icons such as Acir Antão, Bob Faria, Eduardo Costa, and Tutti Maravilha, the docuseries mixes archival footage and exclusive interviews to reconstruct radio’s evolution — from its beginnings to the digital era. It highlights journalism, music, entertainment, and the emotional connection between radio and listeners.
“We want this content to be accessible to everyone — researchers, students, and listeners — as a living record of our history,” says Rodrigo Mitre.
Education and memory
The project also released free educational booklets that expand on the topics covered in the series. Aimed at teachers and students, the materials include interactive exercises and reflections on radio’s role as both a tool of civic education and a cultural heritage medium.
