A Campinas resort blends Brazilian traditions and winter cuisine into a family-focused Corpus Christi getaway with immersive activities.
A long weekend can easily slip into routine, but this year, one resort in São Paulo’s countryside is reshaping that expectation. From June 4 to 7, Royal Palm Plaza Resort turns Corpus Christi into a layered experience built around culture, food, and family-friendly leisure.
At the heart of the program is the “Arraiá do Miniville,” a traditional Brazilian June festival recreated inside a castle-themed kids’ area. With live music, square dancing, and classic food stalls, the setting goes beyond decoration and taps into Brazil’s festive roots.
A live performance by a viola orchestra adds depth to the celebration, bringing a distinctly Brazilian musical identity that elevates the atmosphere beyond a typical resort event.
Meanwhile, children dive into the Kata Kuka Expedition, an adventure circuit featuring climbing, zip lines, rope courses, and interactive play. Creative workshops and theater performances keep the experience dynamic throughout the day.
For teens and adults, the schedule shifts toward movement and creativity, with dance classes, art workshops, and sports tournaments including archery, tennis, and beach tennis.
As temperatures drop, the resort introduces another highlight: the reopening of the Cave do Douro wine cellar. This seasonal space hosts the Winter Festival, centered around classic fondue experiences.
The menu features French-inspired recipes, including Savoyarde cheese fondue with Gruyère and Emmental, filet mignon options, and a chocolate fondue infused with Grand Marnier. Each is paired with a buffet of breads, cheeses, and charcuterie.
The result is a carefully balanced getaway where cultural tradition, gastronomy, and recreation coexist — offering families a way to experience more without leaving the resort.
