From March 6–8, Ipiabas hosts an event uniting Coffee Valley’s 14 cities with shows, workshops, and tourism debates.
The ExpoRio Turismo Vale do Café brings together tourism managers, artisans, and entrepreneurs from across the region for three days of activities. Organized by the Rio de Janeiro State Tourism Department (Setur-RJ) and TurisRio, the event celebrates the identity and economic potential of the interior state.
State Tourism Secretary Gustavo Tutuca emphasized the event’s mission: “The Coffee Valley is a living heritage. When we connect public managers, artisans, and producers, we strengthen culture and open new economic opportunities.”
Tourism and cultural identity
The program covers topics such as tourist routes, rural and wine tourism, sustainability, and destination marketing, alongside discussions on governance, public policies, and workforce development, all aligned with Rio’s tourism regionalization strategy.
The fair also highlights local crafts and rural products, featuring workshops, exhibitions, and symbolic certifications for artisans and tour guides. Folk and music performances celebrate the region’s cultural roots.
Music lineup
On Friday, March 6, performances include Dom Paulinho Lima (9 p.m.) and Jorge Vercillo (11 p.m.). Saturday features Camacho (9 p.m.) and the legendary Barão Vermelho (11 p.m.), while Sunday closes with Benzadeus (7 p.m.) and Tiee (8:30 p.m.). DJ Sandro Dejota performs between sets.
