On February 27, Sheraton Grand Rio hosts the second Blocão, a festive Carnival parade for dogs and owners with live music and charity donations.
After the success of last year’s edition, the Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel & Resort once again opens its doors to four-legged revelers. From 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., guests and locals are invited to join the Blocão, a lively and inclusive parade taking place inside the resort.
The event features live music by the group Entre o Céu e a Favela and encourages guests to come with their pets in creative costumes. The resort’s safe and relaxed setting turns into a festive meeting point for families who love to include their pets in the celebration.
“The idea behind Blocão is to create a shared celebration, showing that the hotel is fully prepared to welcome guests and their pets comfortably,” says Elizandra Demczyszyn, the hotel’s Director of Sales and Marketing.
The event also promotes solidarity, with the collection of pet food to be donated to the Indefesos RJ NGO, which rescues and cares for abandoned animals.
