From March 12–14, Rio hosts TurisMall, a platform connecting tourism, business, and innovation to position Brazil on the global stage.
Launching in Rio de Janeiro, TurisMall aims to make the city a global reference for the tourism economy. With activities at the Museum of Tomorrow, MAR, Casa Firjan, Copacabana Palace, and ACRJ, the event gathers governments, executives, and investors to discuss innovation and create new business opportunities.
The Tourism Forum at the Museum of Tomorrow brings together 20 exhibitors and more than 5,000 registered participants. Speakers include Terry Dale (USTOA), Carlos Antunes (TAP Air Portugal), and Luis Justo (Rock in Rio). A public gastronomic festival will also surround the venue.
The OpenTurisTech event, also at the Museum of Tomorrow, explores digital transformation with the theme “City in the Palm of Your Hand.” Curated by Marcos Siríaco, it covers topics such as AI in tourism, virtual travel, and traveler data security.
Other highlights include the Audiovisual and Tourism Forum at MAR, the Brazil-China Forum on Trade and Tourism at Casa Firjan, and the Diplomatic Corps Meeting at ACRJ. The Copacabana Palace hosts “Women in Command,” celebrating female leadership in the tourism industry.
Produced by Carambola with support from Gol Airlines, CNC, and the City of Rio, TurisMall aims to strengthen Brazil’s position as a strategic destination for tourism, innovation, and global business.
