Windsor Leme Hotel in Rio was certified with the Woman+Safe Seal for training its staff to fight and prevent violence against women.
The Windsor Leme, part of the Windsor Hotels Group, has received the Woman+Safe Seal from the Rio de Janeiro State Department for Women. The certification recognizes establishments that adopt prevention and support protocols in cases of gender-based violence.
To earn the seal, at least 70% of employees must complete annual training to identify, guide, and respond appropriately to harassment or violence. The program is supported by Livre de Assédio, the State Department of Tourism, SindRio, and ABRASEL.
This achievement comes as Rio gains major attention in tourism, leading domestic and foreign travelers’ preferences for Carnival 2026, according to the Ministry of Tourism.
“Hospitality also means ensuring safety and respect. Training our teams is essential to provide a welcoming and secure environment,” says Marketing Manager Vitor Almeida.
Recently renovated between 2023 and 2024, Windsor Leme features a panoramic rooftop pool and modern facilities, combining a prime location with top-quality service.
With 39 years in the market, the Windsor Hotels Group operates 17 hotels in Rio and Brasília. It stands out for excellence in hospitality and events, while promoting social and cultural initiatives through incentive programs and sustainability efforts.
