São Paulo’s Charles Miller Square hosted an unforgettable night on November 20 with the first edition of the Natal para o Bem – Symphonic Concert. Produced by Dançar Marketing, the event welcomed 24,000 attendees for a Christmas celebration filled with music, faith and solidarity.
The evening began with the Celebration of the Word – Luminous Rosary, led by Cardinal Archbishop of São Paulo, Dom Odilo Pedro Scherer, accompanied by the Del Chiaro Choir and Orchestra.
Audiences enjoyed performances by the Theatro São Pedro Orchestra, the EMESP Tom Jobim Orchestra and Choir, the Guri Children’s Choir and the Canto Livre Davide Carbone Choir, supported by Italian tenor Davide Carbone. Artistic direction was by Ruriá Duprat.
Among the stars of the night, Tony Gordon performed “Jingle Bell”, “Wonderful World” and “Você”. Paula Lima interpreted “Jingle Bell Rock”, “Hallelujah” and “Primavera”. Ivan Lins presented “Um Natal Brasileiro”, “Ô de Casa”, “Vitoriosa” and “Bandeira do Divino”.
Simone, one of the most iconic Christmas voices in Brazil, delighted the audience with “Jesus Cristo”, “Natal das Crianças” and “Boas Festas”. Rising singer Valentina Lassi enchanted with “Ave Maria” and “Silent Night”.
The night also featured the lighting of a 21-meter Christmas tree, which will remain illuminated until January 6, 2026.
The evening reached its emotional peak with a breathtaking performance by Andrea Bocelli, conducted by Carlo Bernini. Bocelli sang “Amazing Grace”, “Adeste Fidelis”, “White Christmas”, “Cantique du Noël” and “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”.
He later joined Ivan Lins, Paula Lima, Simone, Tony Gordon and Valentina Lassi for “Então é Natal”, and closed the night with a powerful rendition of “Nessun Dorma”.
The concert is presented by the Ministry of Culture, SulAmérica and Rede D’Or, with master sponsorship by Colégio Vértice and support from Bauducco, Estrela, Laboratório Cristália, the City of São Paulo, SPTuris, Santa Marcelina Cultural, EMESP Tom Jobim and the State Government of São Paulo.
