“My Best Friend” Debuts in Caxias do Sul with Dogs Onstage

Martin’s Story and the Power of Affection

Martin, a rational and lonely scientist, grapples with emptiness after losing his brother. Friends Mina and Guido change everything with Maylon, a dog that challenges his logic. In turn, he learns to love, forgive, and connect.

The story employs light and shadow, original soundtrack, minimalist scenery, and sensitive acting. As a result, it crafts an intimate atmosphere for all ages.

Trained Dogs and Expert Team

The dogs, trained for the play, are guided by Rudinho Bombassaro. A canine psychology expert with over 25 years of experience, he trained at Cesar Millan’s school. Hence, he ensures welfare and safety onstage.

Guilherme Suman directs the piece. Filmmaker, composer, and Literature master’s holder, he infuses poetic sensitivity into the show.

Tour and Cultural Impact

It premiered in December in Pelotas to great acclaim. Now touring Rio Grande do Sul, it fosters dialogue on empathy and human-animal bonds.
