Panini Points launch inside Americanas stores in Rio with \(20\%\) off, giveaways and creators; openings on Jan 24, Jan 31 and Feb 7.
Americanas and Panini are rolling out three Panini Point “store-in-store” spaces in Rio de Janeiro, aiming to turn shopping into a pop-culture stop. The activations bring interactive moments and a bigger selection for manga, comics and collectors.
Discounts, quizzes and special guests
The first opening, on Saturday, Jan 24, at the Tijuca store, features a \(20\%\) discount on graphic novels, manga and other publications, plus prize giveaways. Visitors can also join an interactive quiz focused on geek culture, anime, manga and comics.
Guests include creators Paulo Matosu and Taís Feijó, voice actors, cosplayer Jinx Carioca, and Barbas from “Pelas Barbas de Odin”, known for comics coverage. The schedule continues on Jan 31 in Laranjeiras and on Feb 7 in Copacabana, starting at 8:30 a.m.
What you’ll find at Panini Point
Each Panini Point spans about \(50\ \text{m}^2\) and brings together more than 1,300 items, including comics, manga, graphic novels, collectibles and sticker albums. The concept also follows Panini’s release calendar with special products geared to fans and collectors.
By placing the dedicated area inside Americanas stores, the partners want to make hard-to-find items easier to grab while keeping the browsing experience fast and convenient. The move also strengthens Panini’s presence in high-traffic locations.
More cities next
Following Panini’s international playbook, the format is expected to expand to Americanas stores in other Brazilian capitals. The companies say store selection was based on customer flow, shopping profiles and the potential to optimize internal areas.
“Partnerships like Panini’s enrich our assortment, attract new audiences and reinforce the convenience that has always defined our experience,” says Diego Peralta, Americanas’ Real Estate director.
“It’s a union between two traditional brands loved by millions of Brazilians, planned side by side to deliver a differentiated retail experience,” adds Thiago Miguel, one of the project’s creators.
