With a cinematic video, Evanescence tackles digital misinformation and previews Sanctuary, signaling a bold new chapter for the band.
This isn’t just another release. In “Who Will You Follow,” Evanescence turns modern anxiety into a striking audiovisual statement, questioning how truth is shaped—and distorted—in the digital age. Directed by Jensen Noen, the video leans into a cinematic language that amplifies the song’s message.
The track, already gaining traction on U.S. rock radio, serves as a gateway into Sanctuary, the band’s upcoming album set for June 5. It signals a project rooted in both introspection and cultural commentary.
Amy Lee describes the album as the result of over three years of creative work, shaped during a time of global instability. That tension is embedded in the music—both sonically and lyrically.
“Who Will You Follow” captures that balance. It blends Evanescence’s signature emotional weight with a sharper, contemporary production style, reflecting a band still evolving.
The production team includes Zakk Cervini and Jordan Fish, alongside Nick Raskulinecz, bringing a layered and modern rock approach to the record.
The single follows a strong run of releases. “Afterlife” topped rock radio charts in the U.S. and Canada, while “Fight Like A Girl,” featuring K.Flay, expanded the band’s sonic palette.
Rather than revisiting past formulas, Evanescence continues to evolve its legacy. Since Fallen (2003), one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century, the band has maintained a distinctive voice in rock.
With Sanctuary, that identity enters a new phase—exploring the tension between humanity and technology without losing its emotional core.
Fans will also get a special bonus: the Deluxe CD edition includes a Blu-ray featuring Live in São Paulo, capturing the band’s biggest solo show to date.
