The singer turns the success of his Casa do Salgado label into an intimate version: a new samba hub for up to 350 people.
After transforming pagode into a massive phenomenon with the Casa do Salgado label, which gathers thousands in São Paulo, Salgadinho now opens the doors to a new chapter: the Botequim Casa do Salgado, on Rua Aspicuelta, in Vila Madalena.
This new venue emerges as a “cultural annex” — a cozy space for up to 350 guests. The concept is to bring samba back to its roots, with live circles, casual conversation, and direct artist interaction.
“The Botequim is the continuation of our story, only closer and more intimate,” says Salgadinho.
Alongside partners Beto Santos, João Paulo Dib Felicio, Helder Raider, and Marcelo Ramos (Lelo), Salgadinho highlights that this space complements—rather than replaces—the main label’s big shows. “It’s where the community can be closer, where the music breathes freely,” he says.
The weekly schedule captures this spirit. On Wednesdays, the Resenha do Salgado brings a relaxed samba circle with free entry via digital invitation. Thursdays host a pagode karaoke, and from Friday through Sunday, guest artists take the stage while keeping the casual, communal atmosphere alive.
More than a bar, the Botequim Casa do Salgado aims to be a gathering spot for São Paulo’s samba community — a place where music is shared, not staged.
