After performing with Osba, Rodrigo Teaser bumped into Caetano Veloso at the Concha Acústica parking lot in Salvador and captured the moment.
Singer Rodrigo Teaser was photographed alongside Caetano Veloso after a special night at the Teatro Castro Alves’ Concha Acústica. The spontaneous encounter happened on Sunday (22) in the venue’s parking area, bringing together two generations who embody different — yet harmonious — faces of Brazilian music.
On the previous evening, Teaser had performed with the Bahia Symphony Orchestra (Osba) in Pelourinho, honoring the historic recording of “They Don’t Care About Us” by Michael Jackson, filmed in the same location in the 1990s. On Sunday, he returned to the stage with Osba, delivering symphonic renditions of pop classics while Caetano watched from the audience.
“Seeing Caetano in the audience was an honor. Meeting him afterward was priceless,” Teaser shared on social media.
The photo of the pair quickly spread across social networks, celebrating a rare meeting between Brazil’s leading Michael Jackson tribute artist and one of MPB’s icons. It reaffirms Salvador’s role as a global crossroads of music and Afro-Brazilian culture.
