Brazilian designer Cris Barros staged her GRAZIE collection at the Pinacoteca de São Paulo, with 40 looks inspired by her time in Milan, streamed live on the brand’s app.
One of Brazil’s most respected fashion institutions chose an unconventional venue to open the season. On April 7, Cris Barros presented her new collection, GRAZIE, inside the Pinacoteca de São Paulo — one of the city’s most iconic art museums. The show transformed a previously unseen gallery on the building’s top floor into a runway.
The collection draws from the designer’s personal experiences in Milan, building on the idea that looking back at the past is a way of illuminating the future. Memory, in GRAZIE, becomes both material and meaning.
40 looks between structure and lightness
The show featured approximately 40 looks that offered new readings of the collection through a styling approach centered on layering, sheer fabrics, and precise volumes. The result struck a balance between classic tailoring and contemporary ease — structured yet effortless.
The set design was deliberately restrained, entering into quiet dialogue with the museum’s architecture and artistic context. Rather than competing with the space, it amplified the show’s central theme: the meeting of different times, languages, and references.
Beauty, invitations, and a live shopping experience
Beauty looks were created using Make B. products, with a focus on natural skin and a sophisticated finish that complemented the collection’s narrative.
The show invitation was a standout detail. Created in collaboration with chef and brand friend Renata Vanzetto, it took the form of a limited-edition package of farfalle pasta and CRIS BARROS GRAZIE tomato sauce — an exclusive recipe that captures, with warmth and wit, the Italian experience behind the collection.
