Looke has announced a slate of exclusive premieres arriving this week, expanding its catalog with international productions never before available in Brazil. The highlight is the Czech war drama Brothers, inspired by a daring real-life escape from communist rule.
Brothers: courage under oppression
Set in 1953, the film follows five young men escaping communist Czechoslovakia toward West Berlin, triggering one of the largest military pursuits in postwar Europe. Directed by Tomas Masin, the film stars Oskar Hes, Jan Nedbal, and Adam Ernest.
In The Lost Princess, billionaire Alec Touati travels to Morocco after a mystical experience and uncovers the tragic tale of a princess trapped in an arranged marriage. The film by Hicham Hajji features Eric Roberts and Melodie Casta.
Tales of Babylon by Pelayo De Lario takes place in a crime-ridden city where Alex tries to save his younger sister from their powerful mafia grandfather, seeking help from two hitmen looking for redemption. Starring Clive Russell and Billie Gadsdon.
Eternal tells the story of Elias, a climate scientist torn between love and duty when an oceanic mission could alter the planet’s fate. Directed by Ulaa Salim, starring Simon Sears and Nanna Øland Fabricius.
