São Paulo’s Caminhos do Mar Park is offering R$15 tickets from April 1 through May 3 — trails, a 780-meter waterfall and the only zipline in a natural park in the state.
Less than an hour from São Paulo, Caminhos do Mar Park has launched a promotion that makes the trip a no-brainer: tickets for just R$15 throughout April and until May 3, timed to coincide with Brazil’s national holidays. Tickets are sold exclusively through the park’s website and are not valid for travel agencies, schools, or groups.
Trails, waterfall, and history in 9 km
The Adventure Trail is the park’s most popular route: covering 9 km round-trip, it leads visitors to Cachoeira da Torre (Tower Waterfall), perched at 780 meters above sea level within the conservation area of the historic Estrada Velha de Santos. The waterfall takes its name from the old transmission tower of the Henry Borden Hydroelectric Plant — now decommissioned — that still stands as a landmark at the top of the Serra do Mar.
The water tumbles roughly 50 meters through rocks and dense Atlantic Forest, forming a delicate, continuous veil — most dramatic during the rainy season. The hike is a full immersion in biodiversity, environmental memory, and conservation.
A journey through Brazilian history
For visitors who prefer a more leisurely pace, the park’s trails along the Estrada Velha de Santos tell the story of colonial Brazil through seven historic monuments. One route retraces part of the path taken by Emperor Dom Pedro I from Santos toward Ipiranga, where he declared Brazil’s independence in 1822 — turning a nature walk into a genuine step back in time.
The only zipline in a São Paulo natural park
Caminhos do Mar holds a unique distinction: it is home to the only zipline installed inside a natural park in the state of São Paulo, offering sweeping views of the Serra do Mar. The park also features cycling along the historic road and a nautical area for water-based leisure activities surrounded by Atlantic Forest.
Parquetur’s mission is to (re)enchant people through a gentle and immersive opening to nature, promoting greater accessibility for visitors, conserving biodiversity, going beyond ecotourism and placing nature as the protagonist — a resource to be preserved and valued.
