UCI cinemas celebrate Super Mario Galaxy: The Movie with tattoos, stickers, collectible tickets, and a themed popcorn combo on April 1st.
One of the most anticipated family films of the year is arriving at UCI cinemas in style. The Super Mario Galaxy: The Movie Fan Event takes place on April 1st, the film’s official opening day, packed with exclusive giveaways and themed experiences for the whole family.
What to expect at the Fan Event
Every attendee receives a Super Mario Galaxy: The Movie temporary tattoo. Members of UCI Unique, the cinema chain’s loyalty program, also take home an exclusive sticker sheet. Those watching in IMAX get a special collectible ticket to keep.
There’s a fun incentive for the little ones: anyone who shows up dressed as any character from the Mario universe gets a complimentary ticket. It’s the perfect excuse for kids — and adults — to come in costume.
To round out the experience, UCI has put together a special themed combo featuring a Mario-branded popcorn bucket with popcorn and a soft drink. Giveaways are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at each participating location.
Premium screens for a galactic adventure
Super Mario Galaxy: The Movie screens at UCI in four premium formats. In 4DX, motion seats and sensory effects like wind, vibrations, and lights bring every scene to life. In IMAX, the massive screen and enhanced sound system make the adventure truly immersive.
XPLUS delivers top-tier projection and a state-of-the-art sound system. Meanwhile, VIP DE LUX offers wide, reclining seats in a sophisticated setting for those who want maximum comfort.
About the film
After saving the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario and his friends are pulled into an intergalactic mission to stop a powerful new villain. The journey takes them across galaxies filled with fantastic planets, unpredictable challenges, and fierce enemies — testing their courage, friendship, and teamwork at every turn.
Anyone dressed as a Mario universe character gets a complimentary ticket on Fan Event day.
