Scars into art: Sobre Essa Pele returns March 5

On March 5, “Sobre Essa Pele” returns with real stories of scar re-signification through tattoo art, debuting on Discovery Home & Health and HBO Max.In season two, the documentary series follows Brazilian tattoo artist Raquel Gauthier and Russian tattoo artist Margarita Sultanova, who specialize in transforming scars through art. The premise is simple and powerful: turn visible marks into new meanings, helping clients rebuild self-esteem and reconnect with their bodies.

What to expect in season two

Across 12 episodes, the new season keeps its intimate approach. Each installment weaves together the journeys of two women who share vulnerabilities and work toward a healthier relationship with their bodies. The series leans on real emotion and empathy while highlighting the craft behind each custom design.With active listening, care, and creativity, Raquel and Margarita assess each scar, dig into skin anatomy and physiology, gather references, and build one-of-a-kind artistic proposals. The stories include scars from accidents, surgeries, trauma, and other causes.

Release schedule: premiere, time, and weekly drops

On premiere day, Discovery Home & Health and HBO Max will release the first two new episodes of “Sobre Essa Pele”.
